After more than 20 years away from tennis and with little confidence, I decided to give it another go at Priory in Stalybridge. Their beginner/rusty racquet course was the perfect, no-pressure way to start. The coach was excellent and supportive, and I soon found my love for the game again.
I’ve since joined the club as a senior and have been warmly welcomed by everyone. I’ve made new friends, improved my fitness, and even joined the club leagues. I’m now enjoying tennis more than ever – and I’ve even enrolled my 6-year-old grandson to pass on the joy. Thanks, Priory!
After years of living nearby, I finally joined Priory Tennis Club six years ago – and I’m so glad I did. Encouraged by a friend, I tried the free taster sessions, even though I was nervous as a total beginner. But everyone was so welcoming, especially at the senior social sessions, and the coaching options like Tennis Express and Rusty Racquets really helped build my confidence.
I quickly became part of the club community and now play all year round. A recent club trip to Lanzarote – even winning a fun tournament – was a highlight! Joining Priory has been one of the best decisions I’ve made: fresh air, fitness, and friendships – what more could you ask for?
