*** Men’s & Ladies Doubles Tournament – Sunday 25th September 2022 ***
28 members signed up for the annual doubles tournament and we were blessed with dry weather all afternoon although it did get cooler and very windy later in the afternoon.
As usual the level of competition was intense, and all the competitors are to be congratulated on their enthusiasm, camaraderie and sportsmanship!
Competition was fierce and some games were very competitive and exciting! The general consensus is that with the increased opportunities for competition, the standard of play is improving across the club.
Right from the first rounds there were lots of excellent long rallies and many deuce games. A very enjoyable and exciting afternoon’s tennis. A big well done to all the competitors!
